The once strategic stronghold helped the Clan Macleod secure their influence in the region. The Caisteal Chamuis 12 years is created from single malts from the islands of Orkney and Islay. The first maturation takes place in American bourbon hogsheads. The blended malt whiskey is then finished in Oloroso sherry casks of different sizes.
