The reverse cross was done years back and the clones we grow closely resemble lowii with their upper pitchers and exudate production

This is a very interesting population since plants grow in very exposed areas under full sun. Note that this plant was previously classified under fusca; however, recent expeditions to the type locale have led to a revision of its taxonomy and split from fusca.
