This cuve is from selected plots in the Cte Blonde half of Cte Rtie, which is dominated by granite soils. The resulting wines are perfumed and elegant, with fresh black and red fruit character. Although the appellation permits a small percentage of Viognier, Garon has opted for this cuve to be completely Syrah to maintain as much structure as they can for an already delicate wine.
