Likely made to commemorate the ascention of William IV to the British throne, it features a highly ornate and deeply carved body crafted in 9 karat yellow gold. Circa 1830. William IV succeeded his older brother, George IV, in 1830 the fourth and penultimate Hanoverian monarch. At the time he was the
