This is a 100+ year old USA made Meisselbach "Takapart" non level wind, baitcasting reel, made in Newark, NJ. This reel belonged to my father was made somewhere between 1904 1907. It is marked with patent dates Nov 15'04, Dec 27'04, June 20'05 and March 05'07. My Father was born in '04 and I know he caught thousands of speckled trout with this reel. It is in excellent cosmetic condition and works
